People have been getting increasingly aware of environmental protection over the years. Yet, there are far too many people who still cannot feel the damage caused by the contamination of soil and groundwater due to pollution, such as the discharge of wastewater, and soil pollution and others. They failed to notice this type of invisible pollution, to the effect that human health was jeopardized and the homeland was damaged. The influence is phenomenal, not just to our generation. Pollution of this kind will certainly cause damage to the environment we live in for many generations.
The concept of “Good quality of soil and groundwater is the origin of good health” has been developed among people to alert them of the importance for the protection of soil and groundwater. This notion reminds people that the protection of the environment is the responsibility of all. For this cause, we have commissioned the Tse Yueh Advertising and Marketing Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Tse Yueh Advertising”) for launching of the “The Promotion Project for Soil and Groundwater Pollution Remediation Affairs” in 2018.
This year, we have planned a series of work items in this project satisfying the requirements of Environmental Protection Administration, Executive Yuan (abbreviated as Environmental Protection Administration below). The work items stated below were accomplished before the term-end reporting day on November 28, 2019. For the work item “Managing the Facebook Page of Clean Soil and Pristine Water”, we have provided plans of posts and continued to manage the Facebook Page. Up till the deadline of November 30th, there were 17,409 likes. For “Photo Contest on the Poem and Scenery of Soil and Groundwater”, the work request started from July 12, 2019 and have ended on September 16, 2019. There were a total of 650 works submitted, which was 300% of the number of expected submission, of which 36 were selected for awards. The award ceremony was held on October 22, 2019 at the Taipei International Convention Center. We have also held 1 online interaction activity, having created 23,388 views. For “Holding 7 national promotion activities on environment education for kindergartens and elementary schools”, we have held 7 shows of national tour stage play, “Adventure of a Water Drop”, in May and June with online registration of 2,999 people and total number of participants up to 1,951 people. The number of likes for “Facebook Page for Clean Soil and Pristine Water” has grown by 185 along with a total of 10 activity posts and 11,949 views. There were in total 121 public posts and 213 photos from Facebook check-in by general public at the activity site. For “Production of two promotion videos for soil and groundwater protection”, we have made two videos, one as internet celebrity version and the other as special theme version. Filming for the two videos have been completed by December 13, 2019. We expect that we can reach more target viewers through different video styles.
For “Planning Exclusive Websites and Platforms for the Performances of Soil and Groundwater Pollution Remediation”, we have provided proposals on the Merger of Exclusive Websites for Environmental Protection Administration. For “Planning the Special Exhibition for the 20th Anniversary of the Legislation of Soil and Groundwater Pollution Remediation Act”, we have proposed detailed proposals including venues and budgets. For “Collecting promotion materials related to environmental protection operations made by the Environmental Protection Administration and the local Environmental Protection Bureaus in the past three years”, we have collected relevant promotion materials in the past three years from the local Environmental Protection Bureaus. After organizing, we have made a list of all the promotion materials that the Environmental Protection Administration can utilize effectively in the future. For “Coordinating with the Environmental Protection Administration for holding conferences and important activities”, we have assisted in the design and production of “Promotion poster for soil and groundwater remediation”. All of them have been sent in July, 2019. For “Hiring professional consultants in soil and groundwater”, we have completed the review on the performance video of the national tour stage play, “Adventure of a Water Drop” and the review on the activity plan and design for “Photo Contest on the Poem and Scenery of Soil and Water”. All relevant promotion materials for the activities have been made and distributed during all kinds of promotion activities. Concluding the executed items stated above, we have achieved the expected results and goals for the promotion topics of the year.
